2 jours de descente en canoë dans les gorges de l'ardeche

This descent is ideal as an introduction for a short day trip and stroll with a passage under the Pont d'Arc, picnic, swimming, and lounging on the beaches.

Schedule of the descent

Day 1:

We will transport you by minibus to the starting point in the village of Sampzon, 5 km upriver.
After an initiation and safety briefing, you will descend the river to Châmes (2 km after the Pont d'Arc).
Along this route, you will navigate the famous canoe slides—there are four in total. You will also discover the beginnings of the Ardèche Gorge with alternating calm sections and small rapids.

One of our minibuses will pick you up at a pre-arranged time, with shuttles running every hour until 6 pm. We will bring you back to our base so you can be directed to the camping site where you will stay overnight.

Day 2:

Around 9 am, we will take you back to your canoes to start the second part of the descent, which is 24 kilometers long.
On this route, which requires about 4.5 hours of paddling, you will traverse the entire canyon of the natural reserve up to Saint Martin d'Ardèche. It is a mix of calm waters and small rapids.
You will discover extraordinary wildlife and flora, as well as the unique geological formation carved by the river over millennia. You will navigate in the footsteps of the Aurignacians.

One of our minibuses will pick you up at the bottom of the gorge between 4 pm and 5 pm and bring you back to our base.

You can take advantage of our hot showers and relax on our terrace while looking at photos of the descent before heading home.
