This tool was developed by the Ardèche Gorges Tourist Office in collaboration with local stakeholders and the SGGA (Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve Management Authority).

Based on the analysis of visitor data, weather conditions, river levels, and webcam data, Canoë Malin predicts visitor traffic, and therefore canoe and kayak traffic, on different routes and at different times of day.

Canoë Malin will allow you to fully enjoy your canoe or kayak trip down the Ardèche Gorges. With it, you can choose the best route and the best time to paddle your canoe or kayak on the Ardèche River according to your preferences.

How does it work? A simple tool to better plan your trip

The "Canoë Malin" system is inspired by the famous Bison Futé traffic information system. The three colors used allow you to quickly identify the ideal times for your canoe or kayak trip in the Ardèche Gorges:

• Green: Low traffic, smooth navigation
• Orange: Moderate traffic
• Red: High traffic, heavy navigation

With this system, you can choose your day, departure time, and even your route based on the expected traffic conditions on the river.
