To enjoy an exceptional landscape and an outdoor activity in the heart of the Gorges de l'Ardèche nature reserve, set off for the 24 km descent of the Ardèche!
A canoe-kayak descent in which the fauna, flora and dizzying limestone cliffs dominate, a setting that will leave you with unforgettable memories. This route does not pass through the Pont d'Arc but you will discover the Gorges and their magnificent, breathtaking landscapes!
What you will experience
One day trip through the Ardèche gorges over 24 km (15 miles).
You will travel directly through the nature reserve, and discover amazing fauna and flora.
You will be able to spot the wild goats and may be, with a bit of luck, the majestic Bonelli’s eagle or the beavers.
Trip accessible to families with early morning start.
Duration of descent
You will paddle around 4.5 - 5 hours to complete this descent and you can spend a total of between 6 and 8 hours on the water.
Distance traveled
You will go down the river for approximately 24km between the Châmes pier and the Sauze pier at the exit of the Gorges de l'Ardèche.
Be careful, this descent does not pass under the Pont d'Arc!
Meeting place
The appointment is set in the morning directly at our Aigue Vive rental base!
We provide transportation by bus from our base to your starting point and we will take you back to your starting point once you have finished.

Prerequisites
To sail on the Ardèche, children must be at least 7 years old.
All participants must know how to swim 25m and submerge themselves.
If you have younger children it is still possible to do the descent but accompanied by a qualified instructor.
